O Livro das Horas RAINER MARIA RILKE

O Livro das Horas

  • RAINER MARIA RILKE
  • Edição em Português
  • .
  • .

Se me ergo acima do aconchego delas

The Four Seasons - Inverno

For myself, I can hardly decide which season I like best. I believe I like them all equally.

Now he who has eyes to see it finds something beautiful and good in every kind of weather,
he finds the snow and the burning sun beautiful,
the storm and the calm, the cold and the heat,
he loves every season and cannot spare one day of the year,
and in his heart he is contented and resigned to things being as they are.

Winter is the snow with black silhouettes.
Spring is tender, green young corn and pink apple blossoms.
Summer is the opposition of blues against an element of orange, in the gold bronze of the corn.
Autumn is the contrast of the yellow leaves against violet tones.

And it is a good thing in winter to be deep in the snow,
in spring amid the grass.
in summer among the ripe corn,
in the autumn deep in the yellow leaves.

Vincent.

.

Le Temps des cerises sung by Nana Mouskouri. Video scenes in and around Paris. This song is associated with the French Commune, but it's really about a lost love.

Lyrics

(When we sing the time of the cherries, the cheerful nightingale and mocking blackbird will be all in celebration!)

(The beauties will be gay, and the lovers heartsick!)

(When we sing the time of the cherries, the mocking blackbird will whistle the best!)

(But it is short, the time of the cherries, where couples go to pick them, dreaming of earrings)

(Cherries of love, like dress patterns, fall under the leaves in drops of blood)

(But it is short, the time of the cherries, coral-pink pendants that one picks in dreams)

(I will always love the time of the cherries. It's the time from which I keep In my heart an open wound.)

(And the goddess of fate, who gave me that pain, can never end it for me... I will always love the cherry season and the memory I keep in my heart! )

Oh Very Young lyrics
.

Oh very young
What will you leave us this time
You're only dancing on this earth
For a short while
And though your dreams may toss
And turn you now.
They will vanish away -
Like your Daddy's best jeans
Denim blue fading up to the sky
And though you want him to last.
Forever you know he never will
(You know he never will)
And the patches
Make the goodbye harder still.

Oh very young
What will you leave us this time
There'll never be a better chance
To change your mind
And if you want this world
To see (a better day)
Will you carry
The words of love with you
Will you ride
The great white bird into heaven
And though you want to last.
Forever you know you never will
(You know you never will)
And the goodbye
Makes the journey harder still.

Oh very young
What will you leave us this time
You're only dancing on this earth
For a short while
Oh very young
What will you leave us this time.

Very beautiful song - 1971

Cat Stevens - Moonshadow

.

Lyrics

.

Yes, I'm being followed
By a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow
Leaping and hopping
On a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow

And if I ever lose my hands
Lose my plow, lose my land
Oh, if I ever lose my hands
Oh, if...
I won't have to work no more

And if I ever lose my eyes
If my colors all run dry
Yes, if I ever lose my eyes
Oh, if...
I won't have to cry no more

Yes, I'm being followed
By a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow
Leaping and hopping
On a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow

And if I ever lose my legs
I won't moan and I won't beg
Oh if I ever lose my legs
Oh if...
I won't have to walk no more

And if I ever lose my mouth
All my teeth, north and south
Yes, if I ever lose my mouth
Oh if...
I won't have to talk...

Did it take long to find me
I asked the faithful light
Did it take long to find me
And are you going to stay
The night?

I'm being followed
By a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow
Leaping and hopping
On a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow

Moon shadow moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow

Cat Stevens - Morning has broken 1976

Morning has broken,
like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken,
like the first bird
Praise for the singing,
praise for the morning
Praise for the springing
fresh from the word

Sweet the rain's new fall,
sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall,
on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness
of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness
where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight,
mine is the morning
Born of the one light,
Eden saw play
Praise with elation,
praise every morning
God's recreation
of the new day

Morning has broken,
like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken,
like the first bird
Praise for the singing,
praise for the morning
Praise for the springing
fresh from the word

Ele há um tempo p’ra tudo na vida
Cantando hora, minuto, segundo;
